Hip & Leg Pain

Posted by:

Hip pain caused by a degenerative hip joint is painful and can cause a change to your gait, in turn leading to other aches and pains. Some hip pain is due to an injury, bursitis or a muscle strain, and can be just as painful. Some leg pain is radiating in nature, stemming from the lower back or an irritation along the course of the sciatic nerve, or other nerves in the lower extremity, where it is being tensioned within tight muscle tissues.

The doctors use ART to treat the tight muscles surrounding the hip joint, and can also break up adhesions in the tissues that may be causing nerves to become “stuck” and painful along its path. They may also perform a chiropractic manipulation to the lower back or pelvis to improve mobility of the hips.
